A behavioral therapist for the Newtown Public School district is under fire after her inflammatory social media posts in the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination caught the attention of parents in the community.
The therapist, Danielle Slaughter Lozer has been busy locking down her social media profiles since the complaints against her emerged, but not before parents were able to screenshot the kinds of things Lozer had been posting.
Lozer's post that sparked the complaint described Charlie Kirk as a "white, gum-heavy, devil" who "constantly trashed Black people like we were garbage" and blamed him for "poisoning" other people's children with a platform "built on hate."
"Death doesn't change your legacy, it reveals it," wrote Lozer. "And now, that voice of hate is gone and I'll be damned if you'll catch me feeling sorry for him or any of you who loved him so dearly! I said WTF I said!"
This comment prompted an open letter to the Newtown Board of Education and Newtown Superintendent Anne Uberti from a concerned man named Mike Cote. He wrote about the need for parents to be vigilant about what is being taught in schools, and the need for schools to hold employees accountable for their behavior.
"Danielle Slaughter Lozer has failed to meet that threshold of even attempting to be a decent human being. This vile woman Monday-Friday has our kids beside her, listening, absorbing and obeying her every word in a Newtown Public School," wrote Cote on Facebook. "Would you as a parent want your child within arms reach of her absorbing anything this woman has to say?"
"She doesn't believe in peaceful protest, peaceful dialog. She doesn't have empathy or compassion. She expresses hate. Hate towards conservatives, hate towards white people, hate towards society that she feels wronged her and has no business being around young curious minds!!!" exclaimed Cote.
A petition is now being circulated demanding for Lozer's immediate dismissal.
The Centinal has been provided with dozens of screenshots of comments made by Lozer on social media, many expressing hatred for MAGA, conservatives, and Donald Trump.
She also praised fellow Newtown resident Jim Allen's hate-filled song about wishing Trump was dead, and remarked that she would celebrate Trump's death.
She complained that America is "white trash" with a "d!ck sucker" and "pedo" as President, and asserted that "MAGA is going to hell. They are evil, God hating, country hating pigs" and made it clear she has no interest at all in unity with MAGA "crazy people."
She further implied that the assassination attempt on Trump's life in Butler, PA, was "fake" and said that it was "Karma" to have shown Trump "what it feels like to experience an assassination attempt."
She indicated she does not "hold space" for anyone MAGA and at one point even seemed to suggest "actually" using "guns to fight against" the allegedly "tyrannical government."
That comment seems particularly concerning considering Lozer shared a comment likening Trump to Hitler, aka the "horror clown" that "Germany had to survive," in a post that included an image of a gun pointing to the head of the Statue of Liberty.
Additionally, she injects racially-charged comments into the discussion on a regular basis, like "whitey white boy"... and says she doesn't "understand why white people identify with the oppressors instead of feeling the pride of the abolitionist?"
She also downplayed the violence in the wake of destructive George Floyd riots, which is especially interesting when you consider the fact that Lozer sits on the Executive Board of Newtown Allies for Change ("NAFC").
NAFC is a race-baiting, DEI-pushing grassroots advocacy group that got started in the wake of George Floyd's death, which was most likely from a drug overdose and not a racially-targeted murder as certain social justice warriors would like you to believe.
NAFC tells everyone to start off their racial justice journey by reading two books: White Fragility and Me and White Supremacy, the racist book that is the current subject of the group's book club discussions. Also recommended is How To Be An Antiracist from notorious race huckster Ibram X. Kendi, the man who tells you to use future racism to atone for past racism.
Additionally, NAFC recommends taking a 21-day "racial equity" challenge; supporting Black Lives Matter, a Marxist group that has been calling for the abolition of police and prisons; and listening to podcasts like 1619, which attempts to rewrite history, and Nice White Parents, a podcast that blames "White parents" for all of the problems in schools today.
The blog run by NAFC features posts that drone on about white supremacy, white fragility, the "fear of DEI", marginalized groups (using the lens of critical race theory), renaming Columbus Day, and book banning. There's even a post that says reverse racism is impossible because white people have always had power so they "CANNOT be a victim of racism if the system has always been designed to benefit" them.
This hateful group has actually been given permission to put a bulletin board inside Newtown Public Schools.
When the Centinal contacted the Superintendent's office about Lozer's hateful posts on September 18th, we were told that the district would not comment any further on the personnel matter nor would it confirm in which school she worked, but Superintendent Anne Uberti did previously respond to a concerned parent by email.
"While employees have the right to express personal views outside of school, public posts that appear to celebrate violence, target individuals or groups or conflict with our district's values can raise legitimate concerns--especially when made by someone working with students," wrote Uberti.
"To be clear, the views expressed in these posts do not reflect the value of Newtown Public Schools. As a district, we are committed to fostering a school environment where all students and families feel safe, respected, and valued--regardless of their political beliefs or backgrounds," Uberti continued.
Parents are obviously concerned that a woman with such extreme views, and who seems to be so heavily invested in promoting racist ideas under the false banner of "allyship," might not be able to keep her personal views to herself while working in the school.
Especially when she makes posts like this.
