Watching a press conference in Connecticut is a sad affair. It's not really a press conference. It lacks serious questions from the press, it's more like a soapbox for the super majority to scream from their state sanctioned pulpit.
Meanwhile there have been more arrests for election fraud in Bridgeport and Ganim is still Mayor. The state is not doing anything to stop election fraud, rather they make it worse with absentee ballots that anyone can fill out, steal, and cheat with. Never mind the problems with the voter roles in general and the electronic system that controls it all. We have a snake pit of election fraud in Connecticut. In the circus created by the state government, it's racist to even question election integrity in Connecticut.
Energy prices are soaring pushing citizens to the breaking point just to keep the lights and heat on. All the state’s public servants can do is point a finger, never mind answer hard questions as to why Connecticut’s energy costs are the highest in the nation.
According to the chairwoman of PURA, Marissa Gillett, during her confirmation hearing last week, there were 57 pieces of legislation passed by the Connecticut legislature that have created the massive increase in what citizens are now forced to pay for energy. She also stated that PURA is a creature of statute.
Gillett was hand picked by Lamont. She is an unelected bureaucrat brought here from Maryland to manage Connecticut’s utilities. Interestingly she was Vice President of Energy Storage which is represented by the American Clean Power Association. The Clean Power Association is a policy writer. PURA is supposed to have five members, but since Gillett’s appointment to PURA, there have only been three. A recent FOIA revealed that Gillette is collaborating with the Energy and Technology Committee, helping to create the very policies she says she has nothing to do with.
During the press conference that was called by party leaders to address President Trump’s first month in office, Attorney General William Tong used hate filled rhetoric to blast anyone that supports President Trump. In a long winded diatribe Tong lamented how he will protect the children and make sure that children under 18 can continue to have access to off label drugs like Lupron and wrong sex hormones, with continued access to sex change surgeries like castration, double mastectomies, and vaginoplasties.
On illegal immigration, Tong said the recent findings that Connecticut paid $1.3 billion dollars in aid to illegal immigrants is unilaterally false and is a racist thing to even say or ask about. AG Tong also stated he will continue to fight for undocumented cheap labor where illegal migrants are paid pennies to pick your strawberries and pack your meat for giant agriculture as if this is a good thing for illegal immigrants. While at the same time arguing illegal immigrants are not poor and pay billions in taxes.
According to Tong, "America runs on Dunkin and Undocumented workers," which translates to slave labor for companies not wanting to pay the state mandated minimum wage required to hire citizens. Tong ramrods over the giant elephant in the room about illegal immigrants and the fiscal costs for the state's own people who pay into this system. Tong ignores our immigration laws while he feeds a racist narrative instead.
The legislature passed a law in 2023 that allows violent and criminally insane murderers to be released back into society, and to be able to request release every 6 months post conviction. A criminally insane man in Bridgeport who bludgeoned his victim to death in 2013 and then ate his brain and eyeball (Tyree Smith) has been released to supervised care at CVH in Middletown thanks to this new law.
Residents in Middletown will never forget David Peterson. He was a criminally insane patient committed to CVH for stabbing a teenager dozens of times. Peterson was let out or escaped, depending on who you talk to. He then violently stabbed 9 year old Jessica Short to death in front of her mother and little sister while they were at a sidewalk sale in 1989. The Short family is forced to attend regular hearings to keep David Peterson locked up, or Peterson may be turned loose again. None of this matters to our legislature.
The Super majority of Connecticut only cares to talk about its agenda, not the laws it passes or the consequences of those laws. They do not care about the real struggles of the citizens of Connecticut who pay the highest energy prices in the country. Law abiding citizens of every race and creed struggle to pay rising property taxes, inflation on goods and services that are taxed twice due to the government’s bad policies. Crime is out of control and violent murders are set free to kill again. Our elected officials act as though none of this is happening. Instead the people are kept in the dark, gaslight by taxpayer funded propaganda, and a press that is bought and paid for. They stoke fear of the president and claim Trump wield’s the power of a king. These same leaders had no issues when Lamont used his executive powers to mandate citizen’s shut down their businesses, mask their toddlers and children, and mandated people take an experimental vaccine or be fired, that was all just fine!
