The Judiciary Committee heard public testimony in Hartford today regarding several different bills, including one which protects medical professionals who kill unborn babies from getting targeted by legal actions taken by other states.

Gender-affirming care was added to that bill, which set off a firestorm among those who understand such "care" to be unproven and unscientific. Furthermore, gender-affirming care has actually led to considerable regret among a growing group of "detransitioners" who now have to live with the lifelong consequences of their "care".

Advocates of gender-affirming care insist it's "evidence-based" and that if you don't allow a young child to affirm their gender, the child is at risk of suicide. This tactic, which was used in written testimony from Christy Olezeski, the director of the Yale Pediatric Gender Program, is used to scare parents grappling with a child's gender dysphoria because fear is a powerful marketing tool. Making matters worse for dysphoric children, gender-affirming care likely leads to becoming a lifelong medical patient.

But it turns out that internal files just released from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) confirm that transgender medicine is indeed "neither scientific nor medical".

"WPATH’s internal files, which include written discussions and a video, reveal that its members know they are creating victims and not getting “informed consent.” Victims include a 10-year-old girl, a 13-year-old developmentally delayed adolescent, and individuals suffering from schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses. The injuries described in the WPATH Files include sterilization, loss of sexual function, liver tumors, and death," said Michael Shellenberger on X.

He continued, "WPATH members indicate repeatedly that they know that many children and their parents don’t understand the effects that puberty blockers, hormones, and surgeries will have on their bodies. And yet, they continue to perform and advocate for gender medicine. The WPATH Files prove that gender medicine is comprised of unregulated and pseudoscientific experiments on children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults. It will go down as one of the worst medical scandals in history."

That is the reason why folks like Manju Gerber, who runs Moms for Liberty in Hartford County, decided to drive to Hartford today to deliver testimony in person. She's worried about minors who cannot fully comprehend the long-term consequences of gender-affirming care.

Anne Manusky, a former Licensed Professional Counselor and the current President of the CT Republican Assembly, talked about the pioneers of gender ideology, including Dr. John Money and Dr. Alfred Kinsey. Dr. Money’s first attempt at "reassignment" surgery was in the 1960’s and it was "done as a benevolent operation on a child to fix a botched circumcision," according to Manusky, whose testimony was cut short.

She said Connecticut schools have already integrated gender ideology into the classroom through social emotional programs like Second Step, and Connecticut students have received gender-affirming counseling (think "pronouns" and "social transitions"), sometimes without parental knowledge or consent. This puts gender dysphoric children on the path to gender-affirming care.

Manusky amended her testimony to include the WPATH files.

Chris Healy, the executive director of the Connecticut Catholic Public Affairs Conference said, "Connecticut blindly follows the proclamations of transgender advocates, which can be misleading," and called for modifying the language of the bill to exempt medical providers who perform gender-affirming care for minors.

Rep. Steve Stafstrom, D-Bridgeport, co-chair of the Judiciary Committee, wanted to avoid any debate on gender-affirming care, and instead said that the purpose of the hearing was just a "technical one" proposed by "non-partisan legislative commissioner staff.”

Then he took to X and called the testimony against gender-affirming care "MAGA run amok" completely discounting the rather shocking insights from the WPATH report so he could gaslight those concerned about the well-known detrimental effects of gender-affirming care.

Is Steve Stafstrom an “expert” in gender affirming care? Of course not! Isn’t the US the ONLY country on the planet still performing these BARBARIC atrocities?
    Pure evil👿
