The Greenwich Anti-Hate and Anti-Semitism Task Force (aka the "Thought Police") has met two times since its inception, once on May 7th and again on June 10th.
The committee has also doubled the number of members since it was first announced in March 2024.
The democrat-heavy committee now includes 28 members as of June 2024, ten of whom are clergy:

The Thought Police adopted a mission statement in May that includes affirming a "shared responsibility to safeguard the Jewish community and all members of our community by recognizing, naming, documenting, and preventing all acts of antisemitism and hate in Greenwich" and actively engaging "with all community organizations who share in our fight against all forms of hate and bigotry."
This mission sounds eerily similar to the mission of anti-racism (aka "DEI") task forces set up to atone for the country's alleged "systemic racism" in the wake of George Floyd's death in 2020 ... which was most likely from a medical condition, not from "police brutality" as is widely alleged in the mainstream media.
George Floyd's death was used and manipulated by progressives to justify injecting the Marxism of DEI and social justice and the racism of anti-racism into nearly every facet of society.
Now progressives are using the horrific October 7th Hamas attacks as the reason to promote the Marxism of DEI and social justice once again, but this time under the guise of "anti-hate and anti-semitism".
In fact, the Thought Police revealed plans for a teacher workshop in August for all public and private school educators in Greenwich from Grades 7 through 12 to tell them what to think is hateful and/or antisemitic.
It's reminiscent of the teacher workshop arranged by Greenwich Superintendent Toni Jones in 2020 to indoctrinate educators into the progressive systemic racism narrative through a guided reading of the critical race theory classic, White Fragility.
The next plan revealed by the Thought Police came from the Head of Greenwich Country Day School, Adam Rohdie. He's working on creating the agenda for a day of anti-hate education where all public and private school seniors—more than 1,000 students—would join for some indoctrination and then get pressured into signing "an anti-hate pledge" like any good social justice warrior would do.
Seeing Rohdie involved reminds us of when his school seemed to discriminate against white students by creating events for students of color only after George Floyd's death. It seemed hateful toward the white students, but that's exactly what anti-racism encourages -- future racism to atone for past racism.
The Thought Police appears to be deferring to the ADL for insight about what is considered hate and antisemitism, and links directly to the ADL's incident reporting tool.
Greenwich Police Chief Heavey specifically cited "the good relationship" the Town already has with the ADL. Plus, the Thought Police previously hosted a training with the Greenwich Public Schools PTA Council where the ADL told attendees what to think about hate.
The problem with the ADL, however, is that ever since Jonathan Greenblatt became CEO in 2015, the organization has essentially become another arm of the democrat party, supporting typical left-wing agenda items and pet causes, such as:
The ADL's database of hate includes a number so-called "far right" extremist terms and alleged "code words", such as: America First, cultural marxism, deep state, died suddenly, false flag, gender ideology, globalist, Parents’ Rights Movement, and even the word transgenderism which the ADL says is used to "skirt hate speech laws" that prohibit targeting "protected classes" like trans people.
Conservatives could easily get accused of promoting "hate" or echoing "antisemitic rhetoric" based on the ADL's definitions. Heck, even Trump was accused of espousing "antisemitic rhetoric" when he said he wanted to expel warmongers, drive out globalists, cast out communists, and throw off those who hate our country.
Coincidentally, the ADL changed the definition of racism in late 2020 to “the marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.” The definition clarified that systemic racism is a “combination of systems, institutions and factors that advantage white people and, for people of color, cause widespread harm and disadvantages in access and opportunity.”
The definition was changed again after Whoopi Goldberg declared the Holocaust was not about race in 2022.
Meanwhile, Greenblatt has been accused of being "oblivious to any real suffering of any real Jews" and has repeatedly chosen to crack down on speech critical of Israel rather than protect free speech.
In light of the ADL's left-wing bias and Greenblatt's controversial leadership, reasonable people are now wondering exactly how the Greenwich Thought Police will be defining "hate and anti-semitism".
Will "hate and anti-semitism" be defined exclusively using the ADL's left-wing views?
Will the ADL's views get balanced by conservative perspectives?
Will all community organizations have a voice at the table, or just those that blindly adhere to the ADL's guidance, which even Wikipedia has called "generally unreliable" on antisemitism and Israel?
And, seriously, how can any Republican on this committee consider getting behind an organization as biased against conservatives as the ADL?
P.S. Even though Scott Kalb claimed in an Op Ed that the Thought Police didn't have the power to let people "rat-out neighbors", it turns out the Task Force wants to potentially add a Greenwich Police form on its webpage so people can rat-out neighbors for alleged "hate" incidents. Go figure.
