    HB 5164 AN ACT CONCERNING UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS, was written "to allow striking employees to access unemployment benefits after a period of two consecutive weeks of striking."

    The bill was brought before the House Friday, May 3rd, and from news reports had little discussion.

    "HB 5164, after passing the House should have procedurally been posted to the Senate calendar and possibly had additional points reviewed, but without doing so was brought immediately before the Senate Monday, May 6th," according to the CT Mirror.
