Radical activists and political reality-deniers are pushing to have transgender policies targeted to minors without parental consent on the state level flipped into a human rights argument, and now older gay activists are willing to speak out to protect children.
Journalist and independent policy consultant R. J. Preece, who grew up in Connecticut as a gay teenager, has called for an independent state investigation into the trans medical market in Connecticut. He testified by Zoom to the CT Government Administration and Elections Public Hearing in Hartford on March 18, 2024, while opposing the constitutional amendment SJ 4.
The amendment would effectively make access to puberty-blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones and gender-affirming surgery a protected civil right in the state. It would also ban discrimination based on "gender-affirming" care treatments in public schools and further create civil rights for biological men to participate in women-only sports.
“It’s time to investigate. It’s time to vote for decency— not the radical activists, not the spin doctors, and not those profiting off vulnerable kids,” said Preece.
Preece said he was “deeply alarmed” at the legal maneuvers, advancements and recent scandals and alarming revelations within the medical community pushing transitions on children.
Preece referred to the international WPATH “standards of care” scandal, which includes a chapter on the new eunuch gender, and its impact on Connecticut. He also referred to the NHS in England deciding to ban puberty blockers because of medical concerns.
“Have eunuchs been surgically created in Connecticut yet?” Preece angrily asked State Rep. Matt Blumenthal, son of U. S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, and State Senator Mae Flexer, co-chairs of the committee.
Other European countries and states across America have taken steps to control the use of the experimental medications, puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to minors, as well as surgeries which can cause unexpected complications.
Preece blasted Hearst Media, the Hartford Courant, and other mainstream media in Connecticut for not reporting on the WPATH scandal and puberty blockers ban, but was encouraged by some recent mainstream media reporting at the national level and regional left media in other states.
“More scandals are ALREADY slated— to crash into mainstream media, finally, to alert parents and patients about this horror show," Preece furiously stated.
Disregarding Preece and numerous other speakers including former ESPN anchor Sage Steele speaking out in relation to men in women’s sports, SJ 4 was approved last week by the GAE Committee.
The next step in the process is that the constitutional amendment gets voted on in the Connecticut House and Senate, and then those votes could put the question on the ballot. Public testimony on the matter can still be submitted here for those interested.
Preece submitted written testimony and included 179 pages of documentation how Connecticut structurally has been easily “played” as a “soft touch” by the international transqueer lobby, via their own legal advisory document, and an affidavit from a whistleblower at a gender clinic in another state alleging shocking practices.
The whistleblower, Jamie Reed, a mother of five who identifies as a queer woman and is married to a transman, signed an affidavit about working at a gender clinic in Missouri. One the more alarming statements she made was that there is a push, without complete informed consent, for gender dysphoric children to start on puberty blockers.
In July 2022, the FDA put a black box warning on a puberty blocker that could cause loss of vision and inflammation of the brain. Yet, that information is not only not passed on but raises the question if that information is passed on to a patient, will the patient be able to fully absorb that information if the patient has other mental issues.
