Based on their most recent email, the Greenwich Dems seem to have lost touch with reality.
They want you to believe "combat troops" were sent to Los Angeles to "target democracy in action" to get you all riled up and angry enough to join their latest astroturfed protest, "No Kings," on Saturday in Stamford.
The truth is Trump deployed the National Guard and Marines to ensure the protection and safety of Federal personnel and property, and that's exactly how the military is being used.
"It’s unprecedented to use American soldiers to tamp down on free speech at home," whined the Greenwich Democrats, as if free speech includes hurling Molotov cocktails at police -- oh, and it's not unprecedented to use the military in this manner, either.
"The military has intervened to maintain public order since the Whiskey Rebellion," said Sen. Tom Cotton who cited examples of the military being deployed since 1957, when "President Eisenhower ordered soldiers to enforce integration of Little Rock schools against a racist mob."
The Greenwich Dems quoted State Rep. Matt Blumenthal who called the deployment of Marines "damaging and dangerous" and said Marines should never be used to go after "Americans engaged in peaceful protest."
Of course, the Marines aren't going after citizens, they're protecting Federal personnel and property from a bunch of anarchists and rioters who created chaos, not peace.
Nonetheless, the Greenwich Dems want you to join the "day of defiance" on Saturday with sponsors like the Soros-funded Indivisible, which provided messaging tips; the Working Families Party, which wants illegals to vote in local elections; and the Connecticut Communists, whose messaging echoes that of the democrats... or is it the other way around?
The "No Kings" protests are also being promoted by the CrimethInc. "rebel alliance" -- a "secret society pledged to the propagation of crimethink" which coordinates "aspiring revolutionaries" looking to participate in "anonymous collective action." They also hate police and want to abolish all prisons.
The CrimethInc. anarchists really want to mix it up for "No Kings" so they can "topple" the "Trump regime" and "end fascism" before America becomes a "military dictatorship" -- so maybe dust off the body armor, brush up on protest tools and tactics, and consider a burner phone.
They said the first days of the LA riots showed "what effective action looks like" and cited "dismantling police equipment" and "preventing ICE" from doing its work as examples of "effective action"—or do we call that "democracy in action"?
CrimethInc. compared the LA riots to the "George Floyd Rebellion"... and specifically made the point that the reason "we are in this mess now" is "because we didn't dismantle the police state then"... so at least we know one of their goals.
Another goal for "No Kings" seems to be "creating a martyr for the cause" just like George Floyd was used as a martyr to stuff the whole Marxist Black Lives Matter / systemic racism / DEI narrative down our throats.
Except the narrative they seem to be going with this time is more like "Undocumented Lives Matter" / "Criminal Illegal Lives Matter".

And steer clear of any element that might associate with CrimethInc., like Antifa.
