“It is a blatant, craven violation of the Fourth Amendment — a bedrock protection for people in the privacy of their homes,” said Sen. Richard "Danang Dick" Blumenthal on CNN about a "secret" Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policy he insists "ignores the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution."
“Americans should be terrified that this secret ICE policy authorizes agents to break down doors and ransack through their homes, arresting or detaining people without a judicial warrant,” he continued.
“This kind of entering and breaking into people’s homes without any judicial oversight or approval has to be stopped and it will take probably my Republicans stepping up and showing that their valuing human rights really means something in practice, not just in rhetoric,” Danang added.
He further called the policy "unlawful" and "morally repugnant" and said it "exemplifies the kinds of dangerous, disgraceful abuses America is seeing in real time."
Blumenthal said the memo was "rolled out in a secretive manner" and claimed DHS was prepared to fire any employee who dared oppose the policy.
He's further demanding that DHS Secretary Kristi Noem respond to multiple data requests.
By the way, DHS read the same Associated Press article that Blumenthal cited on Facebook, and responded to AP on social media.
"If an illegal alien has a final deportation order from an immigration judge and they refuse to leave, they are a fugitive from justice," explained DHS. "In every case we serve an administrative warrant, there is probable cause and the illegal alien has had full due process and a final order of removal."
DHS indicated that illegal aliens served with administrative warrants/I-205s have already had full due process, and now have a final order of removal from an immigration judge.
"Administrative warrants have been used for decades and the Supreme Court and Congress have recognized the propriety of administrative warrants in cases of immigration enforcement," DHS concluded.
Blumenthal complained on January 20th that ICE arrested a US citizen without a criminal record and without a search warrant.
He said "unabashed cruelty & indiscriminate violence" was the "point & purpose" of ICE.

What Danang failed to tell you is that the U.S. citizen had been harboring two criminal illegal aliens inside his home.
"One of the criminal targets had convictions for sex with a minor and sexual assault. The other target had convictions for sex assault with penetration in the first degree, domestic violence, and violating a protective order," explained DHS. "Both also have convictions for failure to register as sex offenders. They both have final orders of removal from an immigration judge.
"The US citizen lives with these two convicted sex offenders at the site of the operation. The individual refused to be fingerprinted or facially ID’d. He matched the description of the targets. As with any law enforcement agency, it is standard protocol to hold all individuals in a house of an operation for safety of the public and law enforcement," DHS continued. "Both of these sexual predators remain AT LARGE in St. Paul."

many of the LSM neglected to say this guy in the shorts was housing the two illegal alien criminals and any police 'raid' would have detained him until the facts of the situation were determined.
