Connecticut State Senator Rob Sampson just explained to the Centinal how the majority Democrat party, which has been in control of the state of Connecticut for nearly 40 years except for a small blip, has been working hard to create a totally progressive state.
The Connecticut Dems aren't just putting forward bad progressive policies, they are sending a message to freedom-loving conservatives by targeting gun owners, homeschoolers, medical freedom advocates, and more.
The message?
Connecticut is a hostile place for non-progressives.
Sampson believes that CT Dems would rather see conservatives flee the state and replace them with the folks escaping Mamdani.
He said Connecticut's majority party is working hard to make the state the "place to be" for progressive democrats who share the same political views. They believe that government should have top down power and control, for example dictating what communities do with respect to zoning, and overriding the will of the residents.
Sampson said it's almost like the Connecticut dems are trying to take the "class warfare argument" to a certain level of punishment.
He explained how the dems pushed through legislation to make it easier to cheat in elections, and predicted that election integrity issues could make the next election even worse than 2020.
He spoke about how the judiciary is captured with left-of-center judges, how criminals are being given a pass and how police officers are hamstrung by the law.
Sampson explained how the legislative process is intentionally stacked against Republicans.
Democrats decide the agendas, the meeting times, which bills get heard, whether the public will have time to speak, and more. He lamented how the democrats scheduled public hearings on the same day and at the same time about topics that appeal to the same group of constituents to essentially curb free speech.
In fact Sampson was even warned that his microphone might be taken away!
The bottom line is that people need to get more engaged and much louder.
Make the democrats feel ashamed of what they are doing.
By the way, the Centinal asked to interview Sampson after the stunt that the democrats pulled on Friday whereby they dumped 52 bills onto Republicans to review at the last possible minute.
Then the next day the democrats changed a bunch of the language on the bills so that the Republicans had no time to respond -- they literally had more than a ream of paper to read before a 12-hour-long committee meeting.
Of course the democrats pushed through mostly all of what they wanted anyway, and then the GAE Committee Chair, State Rep. Matt Blumenthal, posted a video gloating about what Democrats did.
