Champions for school choice plan on rallying in Hartford on March 27th from 1pm - 3pm to ask state legislators to fund two new charter schools proposed by Capital Prep Charter Schools.
Dr. Steve Perry, the founder of Capital Prep and a national leader in the education revolution, is on a mission to provide high-quality education with college-bound opportunities for children in poverty. He wants to bring school choice to Middletown and Danbury by opening new charter schools under his Capital Prep umbrella.
Capital Preparatory Magnet School in Hartford, CT, has been called one of the top schools in the country by U.S. News and World Report.
In fact, 100% of Capital Prep's predominantly low-income, minority, first-generation high school graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges every year since its first class graduated in 2006.
