Tod Laudonia is running for State Representative in the 151st District in Greenwich.
Laudonia is no stranger to Greenwich.
His family has been in living in the 151st district for more than a hundred years, so he has a deep understanding of the issues facing the community.
He's also been involved in local politics, having served 8 years as Tax Collector and 16 years on the Representative Town Meeting (RTM), the town's legislative body, where he worked on the Transportation Committee and the Parks & Rec Committee. He served as the liaison between the Parks & Rec Committee and The Griff Golf Course.
An avid volunteer in the community, Laudonia served as a St. Catherine of Siena representative on the Greenwich Catholic Board of Education for 11 years and was co-chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee.
Laudonia would like to see less intrusion by the government into our lives.
Take zoning for instance.
"Who knows better to determine what your community growth is going to be than your local community," says Laudonia who is an advocate for keeping zoning decisions local, rather than being held to the whim of dictates from Hartford.
Then there's the idea of electric vehicle mandates.
Laudonia doesn't think politicians in Hartford should be dictating what people drive. He believes in retaining the freedom to choose, and letting the free market decide.
He will be facing off this November against incumbent Hector Arzeno, a Democrat who voted along party lines to promote Democrat agendas during his inaugural term in Hartford.
Laudonia is eager to represent the views of the people from the 151st in Hartford -- and he is also happy to support Trump, especially considering his policies and actions led to great results during his first presidency.
