President Joe Biden will be the keynote speaker for the Safer Communities Summit taking place in West Hartford on June 16th.
The event supports the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA) which is being billed as a "bipartisan proposal to protect America’s children, keep our schools safe, and reduce the threat of violence across our country."
The conference features a number of other speakers, including Governor Ned Lamont, US Senator Chris Murphy, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, US Senator Richard Blumenthal, Gabby Giffords, Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin, and Georgia Representative Lucy McBath, among other gun rights activists and organizations.
The meeting will be held at the University of Hartford from 9am until 3pm.
The Summit will be live streamed on zoom.
