People have long enjoyed moving to Greenwich, CT and raising their children and retiring here because our town — in such close proximity to New York City, New England mountains, and some of the best beaches in the country — has so much to offer due to a century of Republican values and leadership emphasizing fiscal responsibility, effective governance, community engagement and the lowest tax burden in the region
The factors that contribute to Greenwich's ability to provide high quality town services, top notch schools and maintain relatively low property taxes include efficient management of resources, a strong and diversified tax base, careful planning and prioritization of town projects and initiatives, and prudent avoidance of long-term debt which nearly bankrupted our town in the 1930s.
This remarkable success is thanks to a long established and appreciated proven track record of fiscal responsibility and accountability by Republican First Selectmen and Republican-led Boards of Estimation and Taxation.
Greenwich Republicans are committed to ensuring that our beloved Town never follows the path of increasingly urbanized towns such as New Rochelle and Scarsdale, with far greater density, far higher taxes, and far left cultural mores.
We live in wonderful, vibrant community — and we Greenwich Republicans will always strive to keep it that way.
God Bless America and God Bless Greenwich!
