• The Pride Flag Falls Short Of A Complete Rainbow But Tells You About Its Purpose By Its Design

My bride, aka “The Indigo Girl,” recently ran for mayor of our small town of Helena, Montana, and her logo was a rainbow-colored umbrella. She had a lot of reasons why she chose this, but the primary one was to use God’s providential symbol, and in the process, educate people on its true meaning and purpose. The colors themselves are important, but the number of colors in a real rainbow is important too.

God’s rainbow is a symbol of both God’s justice and mercy —proof that He is a perfect judge, but that He also will not flood the earth in judgment again.

And God said, This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” Genesis 9:12-16

The rainbow is composed of seven primary colors often memorized by using the acronym ROYGBIV. Each color also has meaning, and I will show why the colors, as well as their quantity, are important. First, their meaning:

Red – energy, wisdom, the blood of Christ, danger, passion, war

Orange – endurance, perseverance, strength, friendship, comfort

Yellow – awareness, cheerfulness, energy, orderliness

Green – growth, health, nature, wealth

Blue – calm, communication, knowledge, peace

Indigo – awareness, intuition, spiritual attainment, wisdom (I will focus on this color later)

Violet – creativity, imagination, luxury, mystery, royalty

The number of colors being equal to seven is important. The number seven in the Bible means completeness — a complete event or act. God used seven literal days to complete the work of His creation (Genesis 2:2). The Feast of Unleavened Bread lasts seven days and symbolizes the complete removal of sin (Exodus 12:15). There are numerous other examples ranging from how many times to forgive a brother, the number of churches mentioned in Revelation, and again in Revelation the number of judgments, seals, trumpets, and plagues. In fact, in Genesis, the waters abated during the seventh month, and Noah sent out the dove to check for dry land in seven-day increments until the dove did not return. Creation was complete, and judgment by water was complete as well.

The number of mankind being six is also important since mankind is incomplete without God. God is one, as clearly stated in Deuteronomy 6:4, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” Therefore, God and Mankind together equal the number seven. When mankind is once again unified with God, there will be completeness.

Enter the pride flag and the importance of the numbers and colors that rather than being included are instead excluded. There are only six colors. What is missing? Indigo. It is at least interesting that the color chosen for exclusion is that which stands for awarenessintuitionspiritual attainment, and wisdom. Also excluded by default is the number seven, thus ensuring the flag magnifies mankind and eliminates God. There you have it folks. Below is the symbol that shows how some desire to remove God and seek their own form of wisdom, and in the process, magnify the desire of mankind to eliminate God and be their own master.

This is the same sin of Adam and Eve, which was not in eating the forbidden fruit, but in thinking they could become like God. This is the same sin that caused Lucifer to be cast down. The created cannot equal or overrule its creator. This flag is only another public manifestation of mankind’s original sin.

The Bible, in both the Old and the New Testaments, is clear about sexual sin. The LGBTQ+ agenda is one of rebellion against God’s clearly written and spoken Word.

Because of this [worship of the created not the creator], God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know Gods righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.” Romans 1:26-32

For those who do not yet know their creator, please read my articles HERE and HERE. My pointing out the facts in this article will hopefully show people that their rebellion is against God and help them turn back to God

The Bible is full of divinely inspired numbers and patterns, and it is clear by now that the pride flag is not a rainbow but a sign of sin and rebellion that mocks God. Let us instead, as Christians, fulfill the Word as written in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

The true rainbow is the sign of a promise, but we must all remember that the God of perfect mercy is also the God of perfect justice. To make a mockery of God’s precious promises comes with a heavy price.
