Reese, the "Bold Wiseass Superman" from WTIC Talk Radio, decided it was about time for someone to reach out to Rev. Aaron Miller, the Senior Pastor from the Metropolitan Community Church in Hartford who has been connected to the suicide of a young Connecticut girl named Ilene Syed.

Ilene's mother, Elvira Syed, had first heard about Miller from a Department of Children and Family (DCF) social worker after Miller filed a complaint against her. Miller alleged that Ilene suffered from "emotional abuse" because Elvira had been refusing to affirm Ilene's transgender identity due to the family's religious beliefs.

Elvira insists that Ilene would be still alive if it weren't for Miller.

It's important to note that Miller's church is on a Marxist-inspired "TransMission" to help the "most underserved, neglected, victimized and oppressed people" in their eyes — transgender and non-binary people — to "reduce the high rate of suicide, risk of murder, and experiences of loneliness and despair."

So, Reese decided to attend a service at the Metropolitan Church this weekend, with the goal of asking Miller about the Syed's tragic story. Reese was greeted at the front door of the church by what essentially amounted to a bouncer. Most of the church's ~25 attendees were elderly. Only about four people in the congregation appeared to be younger than 30. Other churchgoers joined by zoom. The overall message of the church is "you belong."

The service started by singing religious songs with gay themes about "belonging" before Member at Large Aidan Whittel delivered the sermon of the day.

The sermon was about everything political as it relates to transgenderism and how it's under threat, and nothing about religion or God or Jesus Christ. There was barely any discussion about the "LGB" either -- it was just about the "T" and how transgenderism is "under threat" by "this administration".

"All of it was political," explained Reese.

There were complaints about the decreasing number of trans people over deadnaming and misgendering... and how important it was to be inclusive of transgender people or else they will commit suicide. How ironic, considering the very reason Reese went to the church was to ask Miller questions about Ilene's suicide.

After the service ended, Miller made a beeline toward Reese who asked for a statement.

"The only thing that I want to say is that my heart goes out to the mother who is grieving, clearly and wants to be angry at me for what her son did as far as his life," said Miller, emphasizing the words "son" and "his" to describe Elvira's daughter. "To me, I just pray for her [Elvira] and for her healing and her grieving."

"As far as everything else, it was very unfortunate cause it was illegally obtained information about me," claimed Miller. "All we do is love here, this is a church of love."

"And anything that's happening against me is really unfortunate," said Miller with a bit of a nervous chuckle.

Miller felt "really badly" about what Elvira is going through, and suggested that she didn't know how to process her grief other than through "targeted attacks."

Reese asked Miller if there was any regret over reporting Elvira to DCF.

Miller immediately quipped, "I'm a mandated reporter PERIOD."

"There was abuse that I had to report as a mandated reporter," claimed Miller. "I did what I'm required by law to do. Nothing more and nothing less."

Miller, who also served as the Chaplain at Yale's Pediatric Gender Program, declined to tell Reese the exact reason for the DCF report.

However, Elvira previously told Project Veritas that Miller reported her to DCF because she had "engaged in in-home conversion therapy" which included showing her own daughter movies "of what a woman is supposed to be."

Reese asked for a comment on Project Veritas and its reporting on the story.

"To be honest with you, they ought to have a moment of reflection of the harm that they're doing out in this world while all of us out there are just trying to stay alive," said Miller. "It's unfortunate to see people using their energy, and their power and their resources to harm the people that are doing the work to help. It's unfortunate."

Elvira responded to Miller's comments on X.

“I am angry—because you helped steal my daughter from me. As someone who has never had children, you have absolutely no understanding of what it is to lose a child. I lost my daughter twice because of you," said Elvira.

"And let me make something else clear: It was not my “son.” It was my daughter. She was born a girl and she died a girl. 100 years from now, if archeologists find her remains, they will identify her as female," said Syed. "The same applies to you: your bones will be identified as a woman’s. I’m sorry if the truth is inconvenient, but it remains the truth."

Elvira pushed back on Miller's comment about illegally obtained information.

“My daughter sent you an email and you saw her once. 1 interaction—and you believed that was enough to file a complaint against me?" wrote Elvira. "You isolated her. You didn’t protect her. You said you acted “according to the law.” What law is that? The one that says cut the family off as fast as possible and let the young person spiral alone? Is that the law you follow? Is that the religion you claim to represent?"

Elvira asked Miller whether "all mandated reporters tell vulnerable teenagers that if they file a DCF complaint against their parent they’ll get all the state support they want?"

"And now let’s talk about the “abuse” you claim you were reporting. Reese asked you for specifics. You refused to give them. Why? You know it wasn’t abuse," wrote Syed. "People like you twisted parental care and love into “abuse” during the Biden years, and you weaponized it. Now you suddenly don’t want to get into details."

Then Elvira took aim at Miller's comment that it was "unfortunate” for Project Veritas to "harm" people with its reporting.

"No, Aaron. What happened to you—your exposure—is the natural consequence of your own actions. Project Veritas doesn’t operate in the dark. You do. They reveal the truth; you hide behind “policy” & “law.” They shine light; your work thrives only in shadow," wrote Elvira.

“Proximity to you seems dangerous," she said. "Ilene interacted with you once. We all know the outcome... Keep calling yourself a pastor, Aaron. If this is what “ministry” looks like to you... alienating families, misusing your authority, hiding behind vague laws, then thank you for proving why people are walking away from churches like yours in the first place."
