Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont just announced that he tested positive for covid.
This is at least the second time he's tested positive for covid, even though he admits to having been double-boosted by April 7, 2022, and to taking another booster shot at a publicity stunt on October 5, 2023.
That's five covid shots in less than four years time.
Chief spokesperson Julia Bergman confirmed Lamont's test result in a statement earlier this afternoon:
“He has notified those he recently came into close contact with regarding his test result, and he has encouraged them to take tests, as well. He’s informed his staff that they can expect him to work remotely for the time being.”
Of course, people who are "up to date" with covid booster shots are more likely to contract covid than people who have never been vaccinated for covid.
Not only that, but a number of scientific papers have found that booster shots provide little or no protection.
Florida Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo has even warned against taking covid booster shots last year.
“There’s essentially no evidence for it. There’s been no clinical trial done in human beings showing that it benefits people. There’s been no clinical trial showing that it is a safe product for people,” Ladapo said.
But apparently Lamont didn't heed that warning.
I wonder if “working remotely” means he will be quarantined at his home where he can enjoy his new water views after he hired a contractor to
illegally clear trees in a protected wetland behind the governor’s home in Greenwich.
