As schools went into lockdowns children were sent into isolation, made to attend school on a screen. In that period the school as we knew it took a sharp turn. When lockdowns eased up kids were forced to wear masks to go back to school. Their privacy violated by invasive questions, “Did you get your vaccine? “Did you take a COVID test?”, and statements like, “Vaccine saves lives little Bobby”, it’s science! Kids were taught that their bodies, and the air in their lungs is dirty. Healthy people are sick, they just don’t know it. You have to take a test for a virus you have no symptoms of. If you’re not vaccinated you have to wear a mask for other’s safety. You could kill grandma and grandpa if you do not follow the rules! MASK UP! SOCIAL DISTANCE!! GET VACCINATED! Do what “we” say for everyone’s sake. Masked bus drivers picked up masked children, and on their way to school they saw red hearts with “Thank You” written in white letters. Signs with, “Heroes Work Here” gloriously mounted on the corner of well traveled roads. The message, “Be Kind”.
Life for children in the 2020s has been grim, like a dystopian science fiction novel. Nothing makes sense in this dreary post COVID world. Children are taught their skin color makes them an oppressor or a victim. The mask, the messaging, the repeated slogans on TV, from politicians, from teachers; “Safe and Effective”, “Trust the experts”, “Stay Home, Stay Safe”, “I wear my mask for you”. Both the masks and messaging have been used to change consciousness and shift prospective. A child spends up to 7 hours a day in a school. Their young minds fresh, innocent, and ripe for molding. The post COVID school has transformed into messaging center focusing on the CDC’s, Whole Child, Whole School, Whole Community, ideology while demonizing anyone that disagree, mainly parents. Public health and public school have merged. If you do not agree with transgender medicine, and affirming kids with gender dysphoria without parental consent or knowledge, you are a bigot, a racist, a trans phobe. The rainbow has taken hold of the classroom and it wants your child’s devotion.
The bright colors are attractive, especially to children. It’s a rainbow. What child wouldn’t want that cool rainbow hat or t-shirt? If a child does not want to be part of the rainbow? There is no choice, they have to show their allegiance or be labeled a phobe. Would these actions not be considered predatory be it any other circumstance but in the school? The rainbow flag wants to be a new symbol of color and unity. If you do not support it you are an enemy. Some teachers are making it their mission to make children more inclusive. They are being trained too. The new narrative is that all white people are racists, our Constitution and Bill of Rights are racists. There is no biological sex, men can give birth, your body is wrong. You need vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and surgeries to correct it. Your family is the enemy. Your real friends and family are at school. The world is going to end next year, and it’s your parents fault. How dare they!
Imagine being 10 years old and being told you can change your name, your sex, your whole identity? Can a child process the enormity of this? Imagine being told to lie to your family? That you cannot trust your mother and father? Imagine being offered vaccines and pharmaceuticals and being told by school officials you can do it without your parents consent? Imagine being bombarded with this messaging at school, and then seeing it all over the community, in the media, and from politicians? This is a child’s reality in the 2020s.
I came across this photo from inside a school in Connecticut. It was posted on Twitter by the chair of the social studies department. The hall is decorated in political messaging for an ideology not every body shares, an ideology that is life altering and dangerous, transgenderism. Transgenderism is not based in science. It is based on the theories of John Money. I will be writing more on the Money and transgenderism in my next article. The message board in this public school is full of conjecture and misinformation. Did the social studies teacher read the bills from the states she calls anti trans? Why are these QR codes leading kids to activists groups? Is the school teaching activism now? Who get’s to decide what activism gets promoted to vulnerable children?
When I zoom into the photo it reads,
“It’s not about children. It is about pushing LGBTQ community back into the closet. If it were about children, they would focus on all the other issues going on with foster care and gun control.” The TN Drag Ban… “is really just endangering our lives. The scariest part is they’re allowing people to think that we’re doing stuff we’re not.”
It is about the children, that statement is based on her opinion not an objective fact. The bill in Tennessee restricted drag queens to adult entertainment, it did not ban drag. The bills from other states are a means to protect children from life altering drugs, and surgeries, and to protect women and girls private spaces and sports. Contrary to the head of the social studies department at this Connecticut high school there is a biological reality and no amount of pharmaceuticals, affirmation, or surgery will change that. This is not homophobia or transphobia, it is just a fact. This board makes no mention of Tavistock, a gender clinic in England that has shut down due to lawsuits by young adults who regret their affirming transgender care. I will be covering that story too this month. Nor does it mention that Finland, Sweden and The Netherlands have stopped medicalizing minors with gender dysphoria.
“Specifically, longitudinal data collected and analyzed by public health authorities in Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, and England have concluded that the risk-benefit ratio of youth gender transition ranges from unknown to unfavorable. As a result, across Europe there has been a gradual shift from care which prioritizes access to pharmaceutical and surgical interventions, to a less medicalized and more conservative approach that addresses possible psychiatric co-morbidities and explores the developmental etiology of trans identity.”
The QR codes on the board lead to the National Center for Transgender Equality. Did you ever hear of Point of Pride COVID relief fund? How about about the transgender justice fund? Who funds these funds? As I clicked around Twitter I found many teachers from CT and nationally bragging about teaching SEL, LGTBQ, and critical race theory to school children. They are passionate about this! On their profiles I see misguided teachers drenched in propaganda. Ignorant to what they are doing. Many of them are white, young, and very liberal with pronouns, and rainbows in their bios. Who are they to lead a crusade in our schools based on their own personal opinions and misguided assumptions? The bigger question is, why are they allowed to do this? Why is the government incessantly promoting this? What happens to society if schools continue to teach like this?
If science actually matters, why aren’t kids taught the reality of gender affirmation, pharmaceuticals, and surgery? Why aren’t kids taught that their bodies are a biological reality to be proud of?
Ultimately, this gave rise to health authorities in Finland, Sweden, and the U.K. conducting systematic reviews of evidence for the benefits and risks of hormonal interventions. Subsequently, the findings from these reviews suggested that studies cited in support of hormonal interventions for adolescents are of “very low” certainty. In turn, this led to the placement of severe restrictions on access to hormones. It also advanced the notion that such interventions are still in an “experimental” phase.
De facto, according to European health authorities and medical experts, there isn’t yet a medical consensus for the use of pharmaceutical and surgical interventions in gender dysphoric minors.
In an article published in February of this year in the Netherlands, the author concludes that “more research on sex changes in young people under the age of 18 is urgently needed,” in particular, referring to the importance of examining the long-term effects of medicalized transgender care.

I applaud you for writing this very informative and much needed article and I look forward to the follow up. As a Connecticut parent, I have immense concerns over the radical ideologies being pushed in our schools. They are creating mental illness, confusion and depression. Schools should be teaching academics and factual information, not pushing personal opinions and ideologies. Our education system is becoming worse than a joke, it’s becoming scary.
It is a very scary time. The school has become an indoctrination center for extreme gender ideology.
I too am concerned. We are one week into June and already my middle schoolers have come home from school with rainbow flags, pride bracelets and lesbian badges. In town, we now we have a crossing painted in rainbow colours. Who is paying for this and do we seriously need any more plastic junk, that is going to end up being tossed? According to sustainablewestport.com, Westport no longer has any space in its landfills and is either burning garbage or trucking it out of state.
