The last time we updated you on the tragic story of a young Connecticut girl's suicide, and the alleged role a pair of transgender activists played in helping to transition the girl without her parents' consent, was on July 14th.

At that time Senate Republican Leader Pro Tempore Henri Martin and Chief Deputy Republican Senate Leader Eric Berthel had just written to Connecticut Attorney General William "Lawfare" Tong to ask if he would conduct the investigation into law-breaking churches requested by Rev. Jake Dell, a pastor in Woodbury, CT.

Later that same day, Connecticut Attorney General William Tong responded to the State Senators, and declined to pursue the matter simply because "it is the policy" of his office "not to respond to allegations based solely on Project Veritas reports."

However, since the Project Veritas investigation, the girl's mother, Elvira Syed, appeared in Washington DC on a panel discussion arranged by the FTC.

She told her story there, separate and independent from the Project Veritas videos, so we reached out to Senators Martin and Berthel on July 17th to ask that they request a new investigation from the Attorney General's office. We asserted that since the mom's allegations were made on a US government video recording (starting at 40:55 in this video), it should meet Tong's standard that arbitrarily excludes Project Veritas videos.

We also pointed out that the trans activist from Equality CT, Tony Ferraiolo, had delivered in just one 14-month period, 40+ transgender sensitivity trainings to public schools in Connecticut, and at least one of those districts, Guilford, funded the training with COVID ESSER money -- a potential misuse of COVID relief money, and perhaps cause for a separate investigation.

Then Rev. Dell contacted the Attorney General's office today to express his disappointment with the lack of action from Tong's office, pointing out that "the gravity of the allegations, involving a pastor providing a minor with a chest binder and contributing to a teen's suicide, requires an initial investigation by your office based on the prima facie seriousness of the claims. Such serious allegations cannot be shrugged off, they warrant immediate investigation regardless of the source."

Also today we found out that State Senators Martin and Berthel requested that the Attorney General's office investigate the tragic story based on the video hosted on the FTC's website.

We don't know if Tong will be more inclined to open the investigation now that he's got non-Project Veritas evidence, but we do know that the pressure is on, and the story is getting some attention.

In fact, we just heard on WTIC 1080 Reese on the Radio today that the Metropolitan Community Church in Hartford led by trans activist pastor Rev. Aaron Miller is "claiming that they can't hold services at the church because of what they deem are threats" after the Project Veritas story broke.

Maybe that's something Tong would be willing to investigate?

Meanwhile, perhaps one of the worst things we've heard since this story first broke is what happened at Rider University, Ilene Syed's school, after it learned about her untimely death.

Elvira Syed said it took "a full 24 hours" after her daughter's death before the University President, Gregory Dell'Omo, called to offer his condolences. The school newspaper, Rider News, then "immediately published" an article doxxing the girl against the mother's wishes to respect the family's privacy during this difficult time.

The school not only refused to take down the story after the grieving mother begged, but then it had the audacity to add a donation link in the article, "using her daughter's suicide to raise money for the very system that helped destroy her."

"They collected over $3,000 off her death. Do you understand what that feels like as a parent? Watching your child’s memory used as fuel to fund an organization that promotes the same blind “affirmation” that cut her off from her family, isolated her, confused her, and pushed her deeper into despair?" wrote Elvira Syed.

"I can hardly breathe when I think about it. They didn’t honor Ilene—they exploited her. She was not a poster child for a cause. She was my daughter. A brilliant, kind, broken girl who needed real help, real human connection—not online strangers telling her to cut off her family and change her body to find happiness," she continued.

"Ilene didn’t need affirmation—she needed to be rescued. And instead, she was left alone to die, while the world around her raised money off her name," wrote the heartbroken mom.

If Tong doesn’t investigate, hopefully Attorney General Pam Bondi will -- and we will keep pushing for an investigation, too, since this evil agenda that preys on vulnerable children MUST be stopped.
