Connecticut Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz presided over a ceremony earlier this week to "honor and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of the transgender and non-binary community in Connecticut."
"They have the courage to live their truth every single day," said Bysiewicz, who was joined by a Democrat State Reps. M.J. Shannon, Dominque Johnson, Sarah Keitt, Laurie Sweet, and Nick Menapace, and State Sen. Julie Kushner.
Transgender Day Of Visibility (TDOV) was sponsored and co-hosted by Melvette Hill, the Executive Director of the Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity, and Opportunity (CWCSEO), an allegedly "non-partisan" agency within the Connecticut General Assembly.
Bysiewicz said "trans individuals and rights are under attack nationwide" and lamented "anti-trans rhetoric" in Connecticut.
"So, to every transgender and gender non-conforming person here, I want you to know that your existence and identity is valid. You are powerful, your joy, and your pride is revolutionary," said Bysiewicz. "And I'm so proud, and the Governor is very proud to have the great privilege of everyday, representing you here in Connecticut."
State Rep. Shannon boasted about how the state is "strengthening and updating" shield laws to, for instance, protect providers of dangerous sex-rejecting procedures (e.g., puberty blockers, hormones and sex change surgeries), even for youth.
Then came Tony Ferraiolo, a transgender activist from Equality CT.

It was truly shocking to see a biological female who was implicated in undercover video footage for being willing to help a "12-year-old" girl -- who was in actuality an undercover reporter -- to obtain a chest binder without parental consent.
Yes, it seems Ferraiolo was caught on video inviting “Justin,” a 12-year-old female, to secret youth groups despite knowing her parents opposed a transition.
In 2023, Ferraiolo pitched transgender sensitivity training to the Guilford Human Rights Commission, promising that transing kids was "medically necessary."
The public school district in Guilford hired Ferraiolo to deliver transgender sensitivity training to a middle school and an elementary school -- and the district used funding from Connecticut's American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER III) award to cover the $2,000 bill!

Guilford was far from the only school district in the state that hired Ferraiolo, who has been tearing it up across Connecticut with workshops at a long list of public K-12 schools.
Of all the people for the Lt. Gov. to "center" on TDOV!
But wait, there's more.

Karleigh Chardonnay Webb took the mic -- a biological male who also happened to play for Connecticut Ambush Football, an all "female" tackle football league.
"It is our duty to defend and extend that progress and keep it safe from anyone carrying the pathogen of transphobia, warping his public policy," said Webb. "Transphobia, in my view, is a public health crisis. And some of the carriers of that pathogen are lawmakers who work in this building."
Webb appears to be referring to lawmakers who want to protect females from males in sports, and from entering private spaces meant for real, biological women only.

You can watch the full spectacle on CT-N.
Outside of the display in Hartford, the Connecticut Democratic Socialists of America expressed support for TDOV, saying that "queer liberation is central to the socialist struggle for dignity, autonomy, and freedom for all."
Apparently the DSA is one of the "largest organizations of transgender people in the nation."

Activist organizations like Planned Parenthood, which receives taxpayer funding in Connecticut, expressed support for TDOV, along with the ACLU and even churches.
Heck, the Fellowship Congregational United Church of Christ even put out a custom sign saying, "If trans people bother you more than Nazis re-evaluate."

But you know who didn't support Transgender Day of Visibility?
She's the mother of Ilene Syed, a young woman from Connecticut who got caught up in transgender insanity while at Simsbury High School, and ended up tragically committing suicide by the time she got to college.
The same mother who has been cruelly attacked by the chair of the Simsbury Democratic Town Committee.
But go ahead and celebrate TDOV, Connecticut Democrats, while you ignore the very real harms caused by that dangerous ideology to children.

“They have the courage to live their truth every single day," said Bysiewicz, …
Their truth, or THE truth.
Not synonymous.
But hey, I’m just a caveman hater.
Yes, you read that right. I hate cavemen.
