Community Health Center, Inc. (CHCI), operates more than 180 school-based health care (SBHC) centers in 39 towns across the state of Connecticut, including Stamford, Norwalk, Hartford, Middletown, Manchester, and many more.
CHCI is a private, healthy equity-focused, non-profit agency with the mission of providing primary care and social services to all, particularly to those who cannot gain access to such services elsewhere, because the organization believes that health care is a right, not a privilege. It also believes that climate action is critical to achieving health equity.
Depending on the town, the centers can be found in elementary, middle and high schools as well as technical high schools.
The centers typically operate during school hours, as well as before and after school by appointment. Additionally, health care access by phone or video is available for children on remote learning.
Over 17,000 students throughout Connecticut are served through SBHCs. Any student can be seen at an SBHC regardless of insurance status.

You might be surprised at how easy it is to sign up for a free covid vaccine. Insurance is not required.
The forms ask for basic contact information, answers to questions about previous covid vaccinations, and some basic medical history information. Links are provided so you can download vaccine fact sheets. You are required to check the box that says you received the fact sheets, but you are not required to actually download the fact sheets before you check the box. You also have to indicate whether the school is authorized to vaccinate a child without the presence of the legal guardian.
A student's legal guardian is required to "electronically" sign the consent form under threat of perjury. But a determined child might be willing to take a chance on setting up an appointment, especially since parents do not need to be present in order to get vaccinated.
The form also requires you to acknowledge that both Pfizer's and Moderna's covid vaccines are available under Emergency Authorization Use only.
So far, 196 elementary-school aged children (ages 5-11) and 517 middle- and high school-aged children (ages 12-18) in Connecticut have reported adverse events to covid vaccines. This includes 9 life-threatening injuries, 5 children who were permanently disabled, 37 children who were hospitalized, 13 cases of myocarditis and 1 case of anaphylaxis.
While the above table does not include the data, two teenage boys in Connecticut were previously confirmed by autopsy to have died from covid vaccines (VAERS IDs 2147323 and 2147324). Definitely think twice before sending your child to get an experimental covid vaccine, especially in light of the potential for severe adverse effects, including death.
