When lululemon launched its Center for Social Impact in 2021, it announced that The Trevor Project would be a key national partner in helping to advance the wellbeing and improve the health equity of LGBTQ youth.

In less than two years, lululemon has donated $3 million to the controversial organization that has been accused of grooming at-risk LGBTQ youth, and that has advised organizations on banning conversion therapy to help children overcome gender confusion.

Furthermore, the TrevorSpace forum, which is described as "an affirming, online community for LGBTQ young people between the ages of 13-24 years old," has been called "A Pedophile's Paradise" after a shocking investigation by Gays Against Groomers into how the forum operates.

Nonetheless, lululemon remains a "transformative partner" in Expansion and Advocacy for the Trevor Project, and continues to support the controversial group's work in two areas: the crisis hotline and international expansion to Mexico.

“Through lululemon’s Centre for Social Impact, we will leverage our expertise, resources, and communities to advocate for the wellbeing of those most impacted by systemic inequity around the world,” said Esther Speck, lululemon Vice President of Global Sustainability and Social Impact.

Of course, lululemon has made a strong statement about inclusion through its IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action) mission. Key commitments as part of this mission include increasing funding, accelerating actions, and creating accountability for IDEA; expanding training, learning and development for IDEA; and using lululemon's brand and voice to advocate for change.

The company has committed to investing $5 million a year to support IDEA efforts going forward.
