By now, you've surely seen the flyer -- Easton, Connecticut, Democrats advertising a "community work party" to assemble whistle kits to alert illegal aliens to the presence of immigration enforcement officers from ICE in the community.

Are the Easton Dems legally allowed to hold an event like this, targeted at children as young as age 12?

Sure, they've got freedom of speech and freedom to assemble in the public library.

    There's nothing illegal about that.

But holding an anti-ICE whistle community party with children is absolutely AMORAL.

Just like it's AMORAL to house pornographic, obscene books in public and school libraries.

It's not illegal in Connecticut, but it sure is amoral.

Kohlberg’s theory of moral development describes six stages of moral reasoning, grouped into three levels: preconventional, conventional, and postconventional.

Moral decisions are influenced by different factors at each level, including age and experience.

Kohlberg's framework for the Conventional stage of moral development, from ages 8-13 years old, indicates that adolescents' "..decisions [are] guided by social expectations, relationships, laws and societal order."

The conventional level of moral development is when "individuals begin to focus on societal norms and external expectations to discern right from wrong."

It's a time when adolescents "internalize the moral standards of valued adult role models" and "believe that social rules and the expectations of others determine what is acceptable or unacceptable behavior."

A key stage of conventional moral development -- the very age group targeted by Easton Democrats -- is learning about authority and maintaining social order. Moral decisions uphold law and order. And Easton Dems should know that federal immigration law is in fact the law of the land.

Parents raising their children with good morals have already instilled in them a sense of right from wrong, and would most likely steer their children away activities that oppose law and order, citing the morality issues involved.

But not all children receive that kind of moral guidance at home.

Some receive that guidance in school, like children in Easton Public Schools who are being groomed on what and how to feel about social issues through SEL - Social Emotional Learning, and especially the Samuel Staples' Second Step programming.

Children exposed to this kind of curriculum are particularly susceptible to believing that it's important to "support the resistance" -- that would be the "inclusive" thing to do and SEL is all about inclusivity.

Sure, there's nothing illegal about the Easton CT Dems "whistle mania" party, but it sure is amoral to groom minors into thinking that it's okay to help illegal aliens hide out from immigration enforcement officers who are trying to uphold the law.

The Easton Dems are telling you who they are, as they have been for many years.

    It's time to believe them.
