Much is being argued about what appears to be the results of the 2026 midterm elections. But there were victories that we should not overlook.
Victories won by political leaders and grassroots activists who stayed true to their God and to their principles, and who have faithfully carried out their values in the halls of Congress, in their state governments, and in their local communities.
Let’s celebrate some of these victories.
Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who served as White House Press Secretary for President Donald J. Trump from 2017 to 2019, was re-elected to serve a second term on Tuesday.
The governor very clearly communicated what’s primary in her life and where her “identity” lies:
My identity is not as a woman. My identity is not my career, or as a governor, or a former White House press secretary, my identity is not as a conservative or as a Republican. My identity is not even as a wife or a mom. While all of those things are incredibly important to me, they are not my identity. My identity is in Christ and Christ alone. And so, if you hear nothing else tonight, hear this: the only identity that can bring true fulfillment and a peace that surpasses everything else is the understanding that each of us have that Christ and Christ alone can save us. My identity in Christ means that I know who I am. It means that I will not allow the critics to define me because I have a Creator who has already done that, and a Savior who has given me the only validation that I will ever need.
U.S. Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) also won a decisive victory for re-election.
Gill made headlines several months ago when he exposed the Smithsonian Institution’s ideologically-based activism working to turn the national museum into a leftist political tool.
“I’m humbled and grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me,” Gill said in a message of gratitude to his constituents for re-electing him. “And thank you to my beautiful wife Danielle for her unwavering support and to my precious children Marigold and Winston. It’s my greatest honor and privilege to represent the people of North Texas.”
“Billboard Chris,” an activist who travels across the globe fighting transgender ideology, reported on “massive victories in Colorado” on Election Day.
“Not by politicians. By people who took matters into their own hands,” Chris wrote, noting that grassroots organization Erin for Parental Rights “with virtually no money, led a team of volunteers to collect more than 500,000 signatures.”
“They got three child protection measures on the ballot, and three victories!” he celebrated:
“They won while being outspent more than 20 to 1,” Chris explained. “No help from the Republican Party or big conservative think tanks, either. This was all grassroots. Similar victories were seen last night in Washington, Arizona, and Nebraska.”
Now take stock of Chris’ closing statement:
Defeating gender insanity is the biggest winning issue for conservatives. Conservative parties everywhere should take note that common sense measures to protect kids will win even in deep blue states.
While some young women seemed to be celebrating the Democrats’ apparent victory and the return of a pro-abortion agenda, the pro-life movement in Idaho celebrated the defeat of Prop 1, an extremist abortion ballot initiative.
Idaho-based Stanton Healthcare Founder and CEO Brandi Swindell called the initiative’s defeat a “massive victory for the women we serve at Stanton Healthcare, for the lives we work to protect, and for the Idaho I love.”
“Stanton Healthcare will continue serving women throughout Idaho, working to ensure every woman facing an unexpected pregnancy has access to life-affirming care,” Swindell added. “Women in Idaho and beyond, deserve exceptional medical care, quality services, and tangible resources and support.”
Swindell explained how pro-life activists achieved the victory:
Stanton worked hard to educate, inform, and equip churches throughout Idaho with resources on Proposition 1. It was an honor to link arms with the faith community in this effort.
“I am especially thankful that Idaho’s churches, the faith community, and people of goodwill stood strong and defeated Proposition 1,” she said. “I have never been prouder of my state. This victory shows what is possible when we stand together for women and their children, and it offers a powerful example for our entire nation.”
