Well, it looks like drag storytime is not just for Pride month at Stamford's Ferguson Library.

On July 20th, the library will be hosting the "Youth Pride Cafe" which is sponsored by Stamford Pride. The event is aimed at children ages 10 and younger, along with their families. In addition to drag storytime, the event will feature games, crafts, music and refreshments.

The announcement excluded the names of the drag performers. Why do you think that is? Not proud enough to say who will be there to read to the children?

Last month, the Ferguson Library's drag storytime featured three drag performers: Tiki Malone, Destiny Harmony (whose full stage name is "Destiny Harmony Whoreowitz"), and Perry Winkle, who is a self-described "proud trans masc performer" with a pizza slice tattooed on her neck.

The event drew a peaceful protest outside. You can read more about that here.

Several people were ejected from the library for taking pictures of the drag performers, including the Centinal reporter who covered the event. It seems the drag performers did not appreciate that the reporter had previously exposed their raunchy social media posts.

Additionally, Perry Winkle seemed concerned about how the exposure might affect her employment.

But she sure did like the photo our reporter took of her, and now uses it in her profile on Facebook.

You're welcome Perry, but next time, be sure to credit The Connecticut Centinal for the photograph.
