Connecticut State Senator, Rob Sampson, is holding a Meet and Greet to discuss a proposed statewide statute that would end the indoctrination of our Connecticut schoolchildren.
The event will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, October 11th, at Thimble Island Brewery in Branford.
The proposed state statute would make the four below listed policy changes applicable to Connecticut public schools, colleges, and universities:
- The statute prohibits discriminatory ideological indoctrination and compelled speech throughout K-12 schools, colleges, and universities – in teaching, in staff training, and in hiring/promotion decisions.
- It prohibits lobbying and political activism for academic credit in K-12 schools, colleges, and universities.
- It assures factual balance and historical context in K-12 ethnic studies courses.
- It assures parents’ rights and curriculum transparency in K-12 schools – to include mandatory notice to and consent by parents for any medical/psychological interventions by schools (including gender transitions).
This is an opportunity to begin building momentum for a statewide effort that, if successful, would mark an enormous positive change in the direction we’ve been seeking in several ongoing local school board policy battles.
You can also help the statute gain support among the voting public and CT representatives by:
- Emailing state officials to ask them to support the statute;
- Sharing this information with other parents’ groups; and
- Writing Op-Eds and Letters to Editors highlighting the statute, explaining what it does, why it’s lawful, and most importantly, why it’s needed.
