In my 8 years of volunteering on the Republican Town Committee (RTC), I have never seen a more energized group of hard working moms and dads who dedicated their free time to winning for all Republican candidates in November. They worked tirelessly for the win for Fred Camillo, Lauren Rabin, Jackie Budkins, Heather Smeriglio, our Republican BET (the town's finance board) and the BOE.

We achieved 62% Republican turnout when the normal is 20%-30%.

You might be wondering why there are RTC primaries on March 5th after RTC members were elected at the January 7, 2024, caucuses.

In District 2 (Belle Haven, 1-95) and District 8 (Cos Cob), primaries were forced upon incumbents who won by a 2-to-1 margin in January. The challengers include “newly minted” Republicans who have recently changed party from Unaffiliated or Democrat to Republican, developers eager to put up high rises, and candidates who voted for and support Democrats. You cannot make this up.

We must keep the Republican party Republican.

In D4 (Byram), D5 (Riverside) & D9 (Glenville), the Republicans who are primarying, are dedicated volunteers who bring a fresh perspective to the RTC, representing the Latin American community, local teachers, realtors, coaches, lifelong residents and volunteer firefighters. They are not politicians and there are no hidden agendas.

On March 5th, the polls are open from 6:00am to 8:00pm, or you can go to Town Hall Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm or Saturday, March 2nd from 9:00am - 12:00pm to vote by absentee ballot.

I urge you to vote for the dedicated candidates who represent Republican values and will work tirelessly for the re-election of Senator Ryan Fazio and all Republican candidates in November.

We support you! It’s outrageous that people who just switched parties are running for Republican leadership. Thank you for steering us away from these political dirty tricks candidates, and towards long-standing, principled Republicans!
