The Connecticut Dems are awfully upset about the new Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson of Louisiana, calling him an "extreme MAGA darling", "Trump apologist" and more.
In an email sent to constituents today, the CT Dems complained about legislation introduced by Johnson last year that mirrored Florida’s law "banning education of LGBTQ+ topics".
They hate that Johnson is pro-life and anti-Planned Parenthood.
They are worried that Johnson considers Jim Jordan a mentor.
The Dems even cited a quote from Rep. Matt Gaetz to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that Johnson is 100% MAGA and therefore it's panic time:
“If you don’t think that moving from Kevin McCarthy to MAGA Mike Johnson shows the ascendance of this movement and where the power in the Republican Party truly lies, then you’re not paying attention.”
Now they plan on doing everything in their power to stop this so-called "MAGA extremism".
But they are too late... the Trump train has already left the station.
