Indivisible Greenwich Suddenly Skipping "Good Trouble" Protest To Focus On "Fighting Authoritarianism"

Well, that was a quick turn of events.

It started with an email from Indivisible Greenwich on June 22nd that included a "save the date" for the next nationwide protest, Good Trouble Lives On, scheduled for July 17th.

A week later on June 29th, Indivisible Greenwich followed up with a formal invitation to join their action.

The event was added to the official map on the "Good Trouble Lives On" website.

Then something strange happened yesterday.

Indivisible Greenwich suddenly decided to back out of hosting the "Good Trouble Lives On" event after the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, and after receiving "member feedback."

Are members getting tired of all the protesting? Are they busy enjoying summer? Or is something else going on?

Meanwhile, the activists said they would shift focus to their Indivisible comrades' new national effort, "One Million Rising," which is aimed at training "one million people in the strategic logic and practice of non-cooperation, as well as the basics of community organizing and campaign design."

The Indivisibles are panicked over the new budget for ICE, and have claimed the Trump Administration wants to "take the terror and militarization that they brought to Los Angeles and do the same thing in communities around the country."

As a reminder, Indivisible Greenwich told followers that the Los Angeles riots were "non-violent" and had been started by bunch of "peaceful protesters" who were "met with violent repression" just for "speaking out against" an ICE raid.

So now they want to "coach up a million volunteers" on how to engage in further "non-violent non-cooperation."

We're not exactly sure what "non-violent non-cooperation" means, but we know Indivisible's Stamford comrades are ramping up their "Immigration Support Committee" right now, and have a "rapid response" team to "witness and document ICE" actions.

And while we're on the topic, in case you missed it...

On June 29th, a local do-gooder named Whitney Keyes led a "singing bowl sound meditation" complete with a flower installation and chalk art in Binney Park to honor immigrant families "amid the uptick in ICE deportations."

She said the event was not "a political issue" because she's just standing "for what is right" -- even though her flyer featured the language "No One Is Illegal On Stolen Land" and a subsequent post said to "Stop ICE."

Coincidentally, Keyes is the same lady who helped organize a 2020 Black Lives Matter vigil in honor of St. George Floyd where participants were masked, but organizers, including Keyes, were observed breaking the rules.

Keyes' 2025 vigil, however, triggered a response from local resident and Newsmax host Carl Higbie, who brought Border Czar Tom Homan on his show to respond.

"Have they ever had a vigil for the angel moms and dads who buried their children because their children were killed by an illegal alien that's not supposed to be here?" asked Homan. "Did they have a vigil for the quarter of million Americans that died from fentanyl overdoses that came across Biden's open borders? Did they have a vigil for the 600% increase in the sex trafficking of women and children during the Biden Administration?"

Homan said the vigil was "just ridiculous" and pointed out how hard ICE and Border Patrol agents are working in dangerous conditions to make our country safer every day by arresting, for instance, child rapists, sex traffickers, murderers, and the like.

"How about having a vigil for the men and women of ICE or Border Patrol?" said an obviously annoyed Homan. "How about having a vigil for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day?"

Maybe that's why Indivisible Greenwich called off the "Good Trouble" action -- because members didn't want to be embarrassed like this on national television?
