We've taken a lot of heat over the years, having been called "book banners" and "extremists" by democrats, the "bipartisan" crowd, and even certain republicans — simply for telling you the truth about the nonsense going on inside schools and with teachers unions.

Since it's back to school time, we thought we'd remind you once again about why we have been, and continue to be concerned about the progressive organizations trying to sexualize children in school.

Let's start with the American Library Association ("ALA"), the "beyond anti-racist" organization that trains and advocates for librarians, including in Greenwich.

The ALA relies on a "social justice" framework, still pushes "diversity equity and inclusion" goals, and works to "overcome barriers" like race, privilege, gender, immigration status, commercialism, etc., despite the Trump administration's position on DEI programs.

One of the problems with the ALA, which has been led by a series of self-proclaimed Marxists who view the library as recruiting grounds for their social justice efforts, is that it explicitly trains librarians NOT to remove inappropriate, sexually-explicit content from libraries. They like to think of it as the "freedom to read" anything... at any age.

In fact, a recent training session literally tells librarians to "practice hearing sexual content read out loud to you by strange people, practice hearing sexual content in public meetings... because the more you practice it, the more you will feel confident."

Why would librarians need to develop the confidence to read sexual content out loud to strangers in public meetings?

By the way, you may recall the controversial books, many of which were sexually explicit, that we highlighted in Greenwich Public School ("GPS") libraries in 2023, back when Republican Joe Kelly was Chair of the Board of Education.

Unfortunately, rather than leading an effort to clean up the school libraries, Kelly instead sided with his "bipartisan" friends running for the town's legislative body (the "RTM") that year — the ones who called us "book banners" and "extremists" for suggesting that school libraries needn't be stocked with sexually explicit books purchased with taxpayer money.

Not to be outdone by the ALA, the National Education Association ("NEA") teachers union, which operates a chapter in GPS, just advertised to educators something called "Everyone Is Welcome Here Kits" which were created in conjunction with progressive activists from Advocates for Youth, Planned Parenthood and Subject to Climate.

The NEA partnered with Advocates for Youth, using union dues to draft and advocate for controversial sexual education curriculum lessons that promote gender identity and normalize transgenderism starting in kindergarten.

Advocates for Youth, which also advocated for defunding, is the group behind the AMAZE sexual education training videos that caused a controversy at the elite Dalton School in Manhattan after first graders were given lessons on gender identity using AMAZE videos... including a video where cartoon children talk about their private parts with an adult, and how it feels good to touch them.

Other AMAZE videos include things like:

Plus, Advocates for Youth has a heavy emphasis on transgenderism through The Trans Affirming Schools Project (TASP), which relies on critical race theory, encourages educators to immediately affirm transgender student identities without question, and tells educators to keep secrets from parents.

If you think educators aren't helping to keep secrets like this from parents in Connecticut, we'd like to draw your attention to the Connecticut families whose children were secretly socially transitioned in school, including the Smith family, the Silvestri family, and the Syed family, whose story unfortunately ended in tragedy.

Like Planned Parenthood, Advocates for Youth also has a strong emphasis on reproductive rights, including access to abortions without parental consent and "gender-affirming care" aka "chemical and surgical mutilation", and even wants students to have access to abortion counseling through "school based health centers."

Additionally, these groups are still advocating for gender-confused males to participate in female sports and to enter personal spaces meant for females only, even though the majority of the country is against that nonsense.

And the Advocates think "racial justice" is not just an important aspect of sexual education, but that "racial justice is required in sex education" in order to dismantle white supremacy.

Just to be clear, we're not saying that every single union teacher in GPS believes in and/or promotes what they have learned through training from the NEA.

But for those educators who don't want their dues money being used to support the sexualization of students, we have a message for you:

LEAVE THE UNION.
