No Joy For Easton Democrat Town Committee On Independence Day, Instead It's "Nazi POTUS", "86 47" And "Don't Need ICE"

The Easton Dems weren't the only ones in Connecticut unable to find joy on America's birthday ...

State Rep. Anne Hughes apparently had nothing better to do on Independence Day than protest President Donald Trump in Easton, Connecticut.

She was standing on the side of the road holding a sign indicating she "does not bow" to kings -- which is pretty rich coming from a woman who just said a couple months ago, "tax my people, they won't even know" -- as if she were royalty herself.

The Easton Democrats, which serves as a news function for the Easton Connecticut Democratic Town Committee, posted photos of the "joyful" gathering on Facebook.

As has become the fashion in Connecticut, the Easton DTC joined the "86-47" Club by sharing a photo of their very own Democrat Registrar of Voters, David Smith, holding a sign with the left's favorite violent message.

The Easton Democrats advertised the gathering on behalf of their comrades at Indivisible, and tagged Democrats from Monroe, Newtown, Fairfield and Trumbull, perhaps hoping they could experience the joy, too.

But not everyone liked the idea of a protest on America's birthday.

"Disgusting! And so anti America! Protesting a duly elected president on our actual Independence Day! What a disgrace for the town of Easton! Who is funding this garbage!" wrote one person under the Easton Democrats' Facebook post.

Easton wasn't the only town in Connecticut to experience the joy of TDS on July 4th.

The 40th Annual "Boom Box" Parade in Willimantic included plenty of anti-Trump sentiment, too.

Some of the people who marched in the parade were holding the same signs they had out for the last protest, and chanted the same things as last time, too, including "no kings" and "this is what democracy looks like."

Some people opted to intentionally wave the flags of other countries on America's birthday "to support the towns immigrants" instead of supporting America.

The Boom Box Parade was well attended by Connecticut Democrats, including US Senator Richard Blumenthal, Governor Ned Lamont, Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas, Treasurer Erick Russell, State Comptroller Sean Scanlon, State Rep. Susan Johnson, and State Senators Mae Flexer and Cathy Osten.

Small groups of protesters also took to the streets in Hartford, South Windsor, and elsewhere in the state, too.

A stack of preprinted "Crushed ICE Melts Faster" signs was spotted at the Hartford protest, leading people to wonder who was footing the bill.

Most of the Independence Day protests in Connecticut were backed by 50501, Indivisible, and / or the Connecticut Chapter of General Strike US.

This is far from the last protest, as the comrades will all be gathering again on July 17th for their next coordinated nationwide protest, "Good Trouble Lives On."

This looks like a perfectly peaceful protest. I’m glad people got out to protest on this beautiful summer day.

It looks to me that this group of people are putting America first. They are standing up for the rights and privileges that the founding fathers gave to us. I applaud these fine individuals
